The Parke Island National Seashore trash report, after a decade of data and five years of review, links over 80 percent of shoreline junk to shrimp boats and offshore platforms. Shrimpers deny blame, noting debris could wash overboard in rough seas. The 58 page volume cites Gulf winds and currents driving trash to Padre Island.
