Ben Wilson has retired as assistant to the administrative manager at Humble’s Plant Technical Division. He and his wife Mable will travel between Baytown and Stone Mountain Georgia to visit their son William and his family. He plans writing projects and spontaneous activities. He is a Trinity Episcopal Church member and active in Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society, and York Rite Masonic bodies. A native of Eagle Pass he studied at Peacock Military Academy, Marion Institute, and graduated from the U S Naval Academy. He served in the U S Navy Atlantic Fleet from 1922 to 1928.
W H Watson becomes a Humble annuitant on September 1 and plans fishing and camping now. A Nacogdoches native, he studied in Center and did oil field work in Hilgore before moving to Baytown area. He joined Baytown Refinery in 1945, transferring to machinist work 22 years. He and wife Lillie F are members of St John’s Methodist.
SGT Gordon W Bond son of Mr and Mrs W J Bond 701 Feeey has received his discharge papers from the Army and is home after a tour of duty in Vietnam with Company C 73rd Battalion 8th Infantry 4th Division
Army Private Terry L. Orr, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee E. Orr of 2000 Kansas, completed eight weeks of advanced training as a combat engineer at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
