Father Of Four Cent Card Pushed For Seven Center
Los Angeles French teacher Milt Forrest helped spark a push for a seven cent air mail postal card. In 1949 the first ten cent card appeared and by 1954 Forrest backed a seven cent card with endorsements from postmasters generals and business leaders. The Universal Postal Union may consider the idea at its 1997 meeting.
