Beloved Baytonian Jean Shepherd dies in Texas
Jean Shepherd, 90, longtime Baytown advocate and historian, died Wednesday in Paris Texas after a fall at home. She earned the 2002 ExxonMobil Refiner of the Year award from Mike Brown at Goose Creek Country Club and requested cremation. A remembrance by the Baytown Historical Preservation Association is planned for 2 p.m.

Baytown police arrest habitual thief in porch theft case
