Lightning ignites oil tank explosion near Highway 146
A crude oil tank exploded after a lightning strike at an Evergreen Road oil field near Highway 146. Baytown Fire Dept and other agencies responded around 1 p.m. Wednesday. Five tanks destroyed, loss estimated at 150,000 dollars for equipment and cleanup. No injuries reported.
