Anahuac students win top SystemsGo rocket awards
Anahuac High School engineers in Kirk Moore's design class earned top honors in the SystemsGo program. The team achieved the Oberth Platinum Award in May for a transonic rocket and the Goddard Level Diamond Award after a 23-foot, 450-pound launch at White Sands Missile Range. Among 100 spring launches, only five Texas schools earned Platinum and just three earned Diamond at WSMR. The team will be recognized at a ceremony before the Oct 7 football game with Hitchcock.
