Royal Purple Raceway fights NHRA sanction threats
Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown acts to preserve NHRA sanction amid concrete crushing by HPP Materials next door. Debris dust threatens track operations and 2014 Spring Nationals, prompting a lawsuit, a TCEQ permit protest, and a public meeting set for Sept. 19 in Mont Belvieu. Officials urge fans and local businesses to attend to show support while seeking to relocate operations and keep drag racing alive in Houston.
