Wal-Mart Baytown prepares to open its second Baytown location at 8700 N Highway 146 with a 7 15 a m ribbon cutting. Pilot Club and Remington Park Join for Walk to End Alzheimer's
The 16th annual Baytown Walk to End Alzheimer's is set for Oct 11 at Bayland Park near the Fred Hartman Bridge, with Pilot Club Baytown and other clubs inviting community members to join the noncompetitive event to raise funds and awareness. Remington Park staff are also raising funds in the lobby, and the event has historically netted over $50,000 for research. Food fundraisers occur Sept 19 to Oct 3, including Frito pie, yogurt cups, nachos, and barbecue sandwiches.
