NFL faces concussion settlement prompts questions on scope
The NFL agreed to a $765 million settlement to resolve concussion claims by more than 4,500 players and families, covering about 18,000 former players. Critics say the amount is too small relative to NFL revenue and that funding for brain injury research remains inadequate to ensure safety at all levels of football. The case awaits approval by U.S. District Judge Anita Brody as questions linger about long term impact and youth football safety.
