Lakewood Drive memories from Baytown’s Lakewood area
Wanda Orton recalls growing up and living in Lakewood and nearby Graywood during the 1950s to 70s. She notes neighbors the Cokers and Lancasters, early development by Gene Muller, local schools including Burnet and Travis, Wooster’s fire department and library, and the community’s evolution with markets, theaters, and a Berry patch behind her house.
