A combined budget would rise over 200 000 by this line item, while merger details await future negotiations and a reorganization resolution.
Harris County Commissioner Jack Morman led a groundbreaking with Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and La Porte officials to rehabilitate the Pavilion damaged by Hurricane Ike. The $4.9 million project, funded by federal Ike recovery money and Precinct 2 park bonds, will be built by SpanGlass and should finish in about nine to ten months for a fall 2013 opening.
Chambers County will spray all areas over the next week using permethrin to cut the mosquito population. Mont Belvieu officials will mail notices explaining why Cherry Point Drive speed humps remain. They say the humps protect access routes for thousands of workers using the street, a number expected to rise with refinery expansions.
