Alzheimer’s Memory Walk kicks off at Ross S. Sterling High
The 10th annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk by Baytown Pilot Club starts at 8 a.m. at Ross S. Sterling High School campus with a goal to raise over 40 000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Damage assessment after Ike hits Anahuac refuge
U S Fish and Wildlife Service project leader Tim Cooper describes widespread flooding at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge after Hurricane Ike. About 17 feet of saltwater covered the refuge, inundating buildings up to 13 feet above sea level and leaving four to five foot water walls along lower ground.
