Dow retreats from 12000 as inflation data spooks traders
Wall Street pulled back after core wholesale inflation jumped more than expected, dashing hopes of a quick run to 12,000 for the Dow. Intel's downgrade ahead of earnings added to selling pressure while tech shares weighed on the broader market. The Dow fell to 11,950.02 as S&P 500 and Nasdaq also slid. Crude oil edged lower and the 10 year yield eased to 4.77 percent amid shifting inflation worries.
