Words and just what they mean at Preston Pendergrass
A Baytown Sun editor recalls Preston Pendergrass as a spelling and grammar expert. He edited most copy in the newsroom, avoided hiring and firing, and valued accuracy over daily operations. The reminiscence also covers personal editing quirks with his wife Margie and past encounters with word challenges.
