Get Out The Vote Drive In McNair Community
Angel Curry organized a voter registration and education drive in McNair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with volunteers Omega Jones Sherman Gray Jr Herman Montgomery and Yapetti Montgomery. The event, aided by the McNair fire station, registered over 47 residents and aimed to energize ages 18 to 35 for the 2012 election and local races.

EEOC sues Bayou City Wings over pregnancy layoffs
The EEOC filed a federal suit in Houston alleging Bayou City Wings discriminated against pregnant employees by laying off workers after three months of pregnancy. The case, in the Southern District of Texas, cites policy and manager statements, naming Castillo and eight other women as plaintiffs.

Lee College LeeWay helps student build new life
