Baytown Mom Cited For Leaving Infant In Unattended Car
Baytown police cited a 29 year old mother for leaving a 4 month old girl in a parked unattended truck outside Once Upon A Child on Garth Road. A store customer retrieved the crying infant after spotting heat and sweat through partially open windows. The incident occurred around 4 52 p m Sunday with the vehicle parked 30 minutes. CPS was contacted and authorities declined charges for endangering a child. The DA's office was not pursuing that charge. A separate theft report noted $595 in cash and $10 in other items stolen in the 2100 block of North Alexander and another theft case involved $819 taken from a business in the 1900 block of I 10.
