Growing up and parents visiting during long work hours
Emily Macrander, desk editor at The Sun, reflects on her parents visiting from Alaska near Highway 225 while she works. She recalls family routine, meals at Papasitos, late shifts, and the shift in parent child dynamics after her brother moves out. She plans to send cooking ideas to her brother and notes the emotional toll of grown-up independence.
