John W. Schiller, 35, of 1606 Harvard, died at 6 30 a m Saturday in a Baytown hospital. He is survived by his wife Betty Francis Schiller of Baytown, a daughter Elizabeth Ann Ellisor of Tulsa, a step son Ron Haddox of Baytown, his mother Clarice Schiller, a brother Glenn Schiller, and a sister Bernice George, all of Caldwell, plus four grandchildren. Services will be announced by Paul A. Lee Funeral Home.

James Louis Benton 37 of 3811 Massey Tompkins told police three men aged 20 to 30 beat him and shot at him outside a Market Street lounge at 2 a.m. Saturday. They robbed him of 60 dollars as Benton tried to escape.
