City council weighs high water bills and fixes
City officials face complaints from residents about steep water charges including Susana Acosta who racked up a $1500 bill for 43 000 gallons in a billing period. Council members propose a review committee and a petition process to reassess unusually high bills while examining meter and billing practices. The Utility Billing Office remains the contact point as the Nov 16 council meeting approaches.
