NBA ABA All Star Game Set In Astrodome Friday
Despite owner disapproval, NBA and ABA meet in the Astrodome at 7:30 p.m. Friday for an all star game promoted by players. The event, ninth Dome appearance, aims to showcase cross league talent with coaches Lew Alcindor Hayes and Bill Russell leading NBA and ABA stars. Proceeds go to the Whitney Young Foundation for underprivileged youths. National TV coverage excludes local blackout within 100 miles of Houston.
