Grocery stores of Baytown long ago and fond memories
Wanda Orton recalls Baytown grocery history from Grenader’s on North Main to the large Weingarten and Henke markets on Market and Lee Drive. She notes local shops like the Little Store on Missouri Street, Lewis & Coker, Big Chief, Brunson’s, Lyons Market, and community ties, traffic changes, and Hurricane Carla memories.
