Baytown turnout slumps in Proposition 1 vote across districts
In Baytown the turnout hovered around 15.7 percent citywide with wide variation by precincts. Precincts near Goose Creek Country Club and Highway 146 showed higher engagement, while areas by Lee College and San Jacinto Mall posted some of the lowest rates. Mayor DonCarlos urged higher participation, lamenting the 15 percent level and calling for 25 to 30 percent as a target.
