A bomb threat was called in to the Baytown Police Department at 3200 North Main Street around 1 50 PM Wednesday. Police later deemed the alert unfounded and not actionable.

Baytown and La Porte arrests report thefts and drugs
A Baytown man was arrested for assault in the 2500 block of East James Avenue Wednesday. A La Porte woman and a Baytown man were arrested for possession of a controlled substance Wednesday in the 4900 block of Interstate 10. Police seized 1.3 grams of cocaine and 9 grams of amphetamines. A Detroit, Tx., woman was arrested in the 4400 block of Garth Road for public intoxication and assault family violence. Police also found depressants. A burglary of a home occurred in the 2000 block of East Foyle Avenue Wednesday. A home was burglarized in the 300 block of North Street Wednesday, $2,183 of computer equipment stolen. At 4:17 p.m. Wednesday a theft occurred in the 3000 block of West Baker Road. Food items worth $47 were stolen. A cell phone was stolen in the 800 block of Northwood Drive at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday valued at $200. A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 4500 block of Interstate 10 between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday. About $1,000 worth of personal property, including $400 in cash, stolen. A theft was reported in the 1700 block of North Alexander Drive at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday. Food valued at $38 was stolen. After midnight Thursday the 300 block of South Alexander Drive involved bank cards and other personal items.

Between Wednesday and Thursday mornings Baytown officers filed 45 offense reports and investigated incidents including four assaults three burglaries one burglary of a motor vehicle one criminal mischief two driving while intoxicated cases one forgery one sexual assault five thefts 15 other arrests and 12 miscellaneous cases. The period also included eight vehicle accidents with one reporting injuries.
