Police Beat Prowess and an FBI Impostor
Wanda Orton recounts her debut on the Baytown Sun police beat and the night an intoxicated driver claimed to be an FBI agent. Baytown officers arrested him for DWI after a near-miss at the Big Oak Tree and a later Houston contact revealed the impostor had no real FBI ties. The episode highlights newsroom bias, curiosity, and a humorous, cautionary note about background checks.
