Oil hits record as fears push prices to new high
Oil prices surged on the New York market crossing 41 dollars a barrel and settling at a 21 year peak amid terrorism fears and Middle East tensions. June crude settled at 41.08 while Brent traded at 38.49 on the IPE. Gasoline and heating oil also rose with demand concerns and supply fears for summer driving.
