Lynchburg Ferry Repairs Begin Soon to Improve Service
Harris County funds overhaul of the Lynchburg Ferry and landings starting May 27. Sneed Shipbuilding will repaint the William P. Hobby and Ross S. Twenty three Goose Creek students earned top regional honors at the March 28 29 history fair at Lee College advancing to the state competition this weekend. In seniors Kristen Evans Ross S Sterling High School won first for its exhibit Its a Toxic Day in the Neighborhood with support from Hal Davis and Jenice Coffey. Sterling's Bryan Pichoda Richard Thomson and Jeremy Thornton won senior group documentary The Dream Continues The Right to Control and Responsibility to Maintain the Panama Canal plus the Oral History Award under Jessica Miskell. In juniors David Toney Coffey at Gentry won first for Eminent Domain From Use to Abuse and Joe Richard Coffey at Cedar Bayou Junior School won second for Asa Philip Randolph, with Julie Bartrip Baytown Junior School first for an exhibit under Pat Kana.
