Eighth Front Opened as Yankee Troops Move Into Cambodia
American forces pressed a new operation northwest of Saigon to open an eighth front in Cambodia. Units from the 2nd Brigade of the 1st U.S. 25th Infantry and the 3rd Brigade of the U.S. 3rd Infantry, with South Vietnamese irregulars, used Shermans and armor support to strike from Thursday. A 300 ton enemy supply cache was found, the largest yet, as troops dig in amid tac bombers and artillery.

Summer Program Aims to Help Mentally Retarded Children
Richard Smith of the Reinamont State Center for Human Development outlined a federal grant funded plan to provide summer recreation for mentally retarded children in Baytown. The $50,000 HEW program, part of a three year effort to assist cities with populations over 10,000, will run nine weeks from June 1 to 19 at Roseland Park with one hour of activities daily and swimming.
