Williams Brothers Construction Co Inc of Houston will grade, install sewers and base, pave, build walls and structures, and lay water lines on Interstate 10 from IH 45 to San Jacinto Street and from the Travis Milam Street connection to SH 45. Low bid 4 831 053 05. Project spans 0 8 mile and runs about 320 working days. Harold Grissom is the in charge engineer. Afsar Khan claims a world cycling record of 176 hours nonstop in Uttar Pradesh. The contest organizers award two bicycles.

Anahuac Hospital Receives Reclining Chairs
Anahuac Hospital thanked the Phi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha and Alpha sorority for donating two reclining chairs and other furnishings for the meditation and patient rooms. The gifts, arranged by Mrs B L Hand, Mrs R C McCulley, and Mrs E B Fergerson, include an electrocardiograph and a hi lo bed, with the hospital board expressing appreciation for years of support.

Houston Firm To Develop Anti Pollution Process
A Houston based company Inter national Systems and Controls Corp won a 215650 contract from the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration to create a new method to remove sulphur from acid mine water. The plan foresees a pilot plant and eventual full scale operation with an estimated 25 million dollars total cost. Dr Eugene Pelezarski of Black Siralls and Bryson, part of the Houston group, developed the process.
