City worker escapes injury when mosquito truck overturns
Baytown city employee Calma, with seven years on the force, narrowly avoids harm after his mosquito control truck flips following a collision with a car driven by Mrs Levinian Winkleman on Highway 146. The 58-year-old driver and a four-year-old passenger were unhurt. fuel and fogging liquid spilled and were washed away by firefighters. Rites Set Monday For Boy Killed In La Porte Crash
Funeral services for James Oliver Hebert Jr. 33 of La Porte will be held Monday at 10 am at Art Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. Hebert, a La Porte Junior High student and Lomax Baptist Church member, died from injuries in a Fairmont Parkway crash. He is survived by his parents and five sisters, among others. The incident also involved Kenneth Wayne Coots and Kenneth Ray Hayes. Coots received a ticket for failure to yield. Interment at Grandview Memorial Cemetery. This marks Harris County’s 29th traffic fatality this year.
