Gardners To Present Awards At Garden Club Convention
Mrs. Malcolm A. Jones, retiring president of the Houston Federation of Garden Clubs, will preside at a 10 a.m. May 11 awards convention in the Garden Center at Hermann Park. Clubs will receive awards for program books and flower shows. Mrs. L. G. Clinton Jr. will be installed as president. she is a nationally accredited flower show judge and landscape design critic. Other officers include Mrs. Martin Priem, Mrs. Henry Blum Jr, Mrs. B. E. Evans, Mrs. R. Blackman, Mrs. J. P. Chudleigh, with vice presidents Mrs. George LeBlanc and Mrs. David Reyes, secretaries, and Miss Dixie Harris, treasurer. Installing officer will be Mrs. C. M. Jackson.
