Fort Worth area seniors stay busy with purpose driven lives
Al Lock and Dr. Joe Rushing exemplify aging with activity and optimism. Lock, 84, runs OFCO and teaches English as a Second Language with his wife Druena, while Rushing, 91, a former Broward and Tarrant County College president, ricochets between ranching, education, and ongoing study. Both maintain community ties, travel, and fitness, reflecting a creed to persevere beyond burnout and hard times from the Great Depression and World War II.
