Confession In Moor Deaths Ties To Myra Hindley Case
Ian Brady admitted killing an 11 year old boy and said his ash blond lover Myra Hindley aided in the plot to hide the body in the Yorkshire moors. He denied involvement in two other child killings as the trial for three murders unfolds. The case, dubbed the Murder of the Mirrors, may wrap up this week. Hindley and Brady deny all charges. Brady described an aborted plan to dispose of Edward Evans after a robbery, claiming a key witness exposed them to police. Evans’s body was later found at their shared home. Also noted is a note on tin foil and a mention of Sir Henry Cole’s 1843 Christmas card design.

New York AP report notes rising opposition to higher taxes amid forecasts of a slowing boom. Some economists expect government measures to moderate growth by late 1966, while corporate leaders anticipate further expansion. Credit tightens and withholdings rise, reducing cash for new activity as officials urge price restraint and postponed expansion. Households shift to lower priced items.
