Three area school districts elected two incumbent trustees each with minimal turnout. Baytown had 307 voters, La Porte 179, and Crosby 55. Baytown top votes were Mann Gray and I Le Kellogg with 39 each. La Porte saw P J Moore 289 and B G Peck 269, plus four for Richard T Hebel. Crosby elected C Fon Houghton and W H Miler with 55 each. Ballots by box showed McNair 60 and Carver 41, Alamo School Cedar Bayou 7, first-time Baytown voter turnout.

Houston attorney Percy Foreman and a 40-year-old woman he represented in a divorce action were charged with adultery in Galveston. Bonds of 2000 each were posted. Constable Popovich led a news and private detective party to Foreman’s beach house after Norris Hooks reported the alleged affair.
