Stocks end lower on rate fears after Bernanke remarks
Wall Street slipped as oil prices rose and the dollar weakened amid inflation worries. Early gains from Wal-Mart sales and solid economic data faded as Bernanke signaled caution about the Fed possibly ending rate hikes, sending the Dow 23.85 points lower to 11343.29. The S&P 500 fell 5.42 to 1305.19 and the Nasdaq dropped 17.78.
