Power channel plan targets eight mile bayou dredge
Dan Hall says the Baytown district seeks over 11 million dollars from the U S government to finance a dredging plan for an eight mile bayou stretch ten feet deep and one hundred feet wide. He stresses the project is unrelated to Richardson Waterail’s Cedar Bayou barge terminal near Roseland Park, which has sparked resident Furor. The terminal would also dredge but is a separate effort and touted to improve flood control.

Traffic plan set for Houston Raceway Park gates
A weekend event at Houston Raceway Park will use a detailed traffic plan with one way FM 565 routes in the evenings and westbound flows from Highway 99 to gates 1 through 4 on Saturday and Sunday. Gate 1 reserved for participants Gate 2 media VIPs Gate 3 disabled and preferred parking Gates 4 and 5 general admission. Gates open 7:30 a.m. Each ticket acts as a pit pass.
