Sand Pebbles reviewed by Mrs Love at club meeting
Mrs Ben Love presented Richard McKennas first novel The Sand Pebbles at the Club Review. McKenna, Idaho born, served ten years in the Navy including time on a Yangtze River gunboat, drawing on 1925 to 1927 revolutions for his book. A visitor from Cleveland joined the meeting and the club announced next week’s review of If You Would Be Happy by Ruth Stout. One of the nations top fruit sellers remains coffee.
