EAST HARRIS County nurses will gather at 7 30 pm Tuesday in the Gulf Coast Hospital cafeteria for a talk by Cal Rutherford on legal aspects of drug administration.

City Court in Fort Lauderdale ran overtime as more than 200 vacationing collegiansand nonstudents faced trial for drunkenness disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly after a beath incident. A 4 am opening saw many still being booked.
Cadet George Butch Perkins of Baytown and classmate John Cunningham will graduate from the U S Military Academy at West Point in ceremonies on June 7 and be commissioned second lieutenants. Perkins, 22 in April, plans to serve in Korea after graduation while Cunningham joins the Army Signal Corps. Perkins is a May 1963 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and entered West Point in July 1963. his brother Bil is a freshman at REL.
Wally Schirra is named to assist in Harris County cancer crusade governance with EC. Gack Kimmers and R A Bob among organizers. An April 3 meeting will launch educational fund raising for Harris County while April is Cancer Control Month with 23 000 volunteers planning an April 18 residential crusade. Strong focus on health education survey cards and seven warning signals to be distributed to residents.
A Texas State Library report on a sevencounty survey finds Chambers County libraries underfunded and inadequately served. The Anahuac library, run mainly on donations, is praised for staff but urged to contract guidance with nearby counties and expand with new branches as populations grow toward 5,000.

Lawrence Weiler and his wife Pearl were honored at the Texas Safety Conference opening at the Rice Hotel Houston. Weiler received a Distinguished Safety Award for exceptional service in accident prevention and life conservation. He presided over a joint luncheon for the American Society of Safety Engineers and Veterans of Safety and plans continued safety work in retirement.
