John Kay leaves Steppenwolf ending the band. Jerry Edmonton and Goldy McJohn plan a new act with two former Damian members. Edmonton and McJohn join with two ex Bush members to form Manbeast. Steppenwolf formed in 1968 from Sparrow adopting hard rock.
