Baytown Mother Raises Aid for Marines in Vietnam
Mrs. Bobbie Harris of Baytown has adopted a marine company in Vietnam and organized a drive to send 600 cans of canned foods cookies and doughnuts nine cases of pre sweetened Kool Aid plus 200 kapok pillows and 200 leather gloves. She started after her brother Pfc Ricky Campbell with B Company stationed at Khe Sanh wrote home asking for supplies and cante items. Harris bakes about 1000 cookies a week and publicized the effort through the news media drawing support from Pasadena fundraiser organizer Rosemarie Schaefer.
