Stocks drift lower as rate fears ease barely
New York stocks closed mostly lower amid rising rate fears and higher bond yields. The 10 year Treasury yield moved to 4.73 percent while Dow rose 22.10 to 10,980.69. S&P 500 fell 2.38 to 1,275.88 and Nasdaq declined 17.65 to 2,268.38 as wage inflation worries and labor data renewed talk of more hikes.
