Lee College weighs nursing tuition and new simulation lab
Lee College planners push for a $1.6 million performing arts center and outline future needs including a nursing simulation lab as demand rises. Nursing remains a low-revenue program with high faculty ratios, prompting talk of differentiated tuition. Graduates in nursing can earn up to $40 per hour, supporting higher costs, while drafting pay tops $15 per hour. A cosmetology expansion is planned with a new McNair career center opening in May to replace Crosby center offerings.
