A knife wielding robber confronted a man buying water from a vending machine in the 3100 block of Market Street but fled empty handed as the victim escaped. Police quickly located and arrested the suspect, a 29 year old Baytown man, a short time later nearby for aggravated robbery.

The GCCISD board split 4-2 voting to pay capital projects from the general fund after debate.
