Baytown Optimist Club Football Signups and Camps
The Baytown Optimist Club opens football signups August 14 21 and 28 from 1 to 4 pm at 1724 Market Street with fees 60 for the first child and 50 for others. Games begin September 10 ending with a championship October 29. Contact Andre Corley. Also Lee College hosts a summer basketball camp for K to 12 with sessions Monday to Thursday and Friday mornings, registration at lee.edu, and athletics contact. Shooting camps offered in July for various grades.

South Sabine reports shad with trout good at the jetty on live bait and topwaters when clear. Bolivar notes good trout on the south shore using Bass Assassins and Sand Eels. black drum, sand trout, and redfish good at Rollover Pass. evening trout at Rollover on outgoing tide. Trinity Bay reports trout for drift boats with shad and mullet on Bass Assassins and Eels. redfish on live bait around reefs and marshs.
