Veteran Texas hunter education instructor honored for service
Norton, a 72 year old veteran instructor, has taught about 7300 students in Texas across 18 classes yearly at the Eddie Gray Wetlands Center. He credits strong support from the Wetlands Center staff and Austin officials for his continued work. Norton has previously won IHEA Hunter Education Volunteer Instructor of the Year and attends national conferences with his wife. He is taking July registrations for a home study July 15 and a weekend class July 17-18, contact 281 427 2144 or Wetlands Center 281 420 7128.
