Weiner scandal satire in Portnoy style lampoons politics
A columnist compares the Anthony Weiner scandal to Philip Roths Portnoys Complaint, mocking media obsession and political hypocrisy. The piece blends satire with reflections on public voyeurism and the role of female behavior in political scandal. It cites the New York Times and Henrik Hertzberg while noting the author’s labors as a Cincinnati journalist and references to Gene Lyons.
