Land Revaluation Up In Crosby Tax Roll
A major land revaluation in the Crosby School District may lift the 1969 tax roll by about 4.5 million to 43.5 million, as tax board member George E. Mauk reports the assessor has revalued half the land this year and aims to finish by 1970. He estimates the 1976 roll around 39 million at an 80 percent assessment rate. the 1968 roll was 89 million. The rise could obviate a further 2.2 million bond election. The board discussed delaying a bond vote pending a Supreme Court ruling on non-taxpayer voting in revenue bonds. The board is awaiting legal guidance before deciding.
