Baytown Council okays park renovations and softball complex
Baytown City Council approved multiple Municipal Development District projects including the Wayne Gray Sports Complex and traffic reduction on North Main Street and Alexander Drive. A $2,143,000 Morganti Texas bid covers four new softball fields plus a restroom concession stand and renovations. Funds transfer of $1,966,000 to the city covers the renovation with about $1,932,000 after professional services. Contingencies add $158,000. An additional $169,000 concession and restroom facility is funded from hotel tax and CIP. portable toilets and trailers were considered.
