Planning Commission Delays Plat Approval
Baytown Planning Commission stalls Dan Savell's Whispering Pines subdivision final plat pending revision of drainage easements. A 4-1 vote approves adding a 30 foot easement on Cary's Bayou while Cedar Bayou gets no easement and a future canal option is left to city engineer with commission approval. Officials note required rights of way along Cary's Bayou Cedar Bayou and the drainage ditch would total 120 to 150 feet, with county funds limited and Savell warning he cannot donate land worth 350 thousand dollars.
