Baytown police pursued a speeding vehicle on Garth Road near Gulf Coast Hospital Saturday. Lenora Ann Weimer and Susan Wei mer of Bayridge in Chambers County are in good condition after their car was hit on the left as the patrol car tried to pass. Patrolman Charles B. Shaffer was driving north when the accident occurred at 4:47 p.m. at the Grantham intersection. No charges have been filed.

DPS To Continue Efforts In East Harris County DWI Crackdown
DPS and Sheriff deputies sustained Operation Saturation, charging 24 in Justice of the Peace N C Morrison's Baytown court over the weekend. Eight patrol cars patrolled East Harris County with four moved from other areas to Baytown.
