Regents weigh moving Crosby wellness center to CISD facility
Lee College regents debated relocating the Crosby wellness center into a former kindergarten building owned by Crosby Independent School District. The plan would shift equipment, staffing, and free memberships to CISD staff, with the district handling maintenance and utilities, while the college would regain a larger space and offer more classes. The move requires approval from both boards and would avoid continued annual losses, which have averaged about 150000 dollars over two years. The McNair Center at Lee College also progresses toward an I-10 East Center, slated for completion by month’s end with an open house in July.
